A leading company specializing in import and export is seeking a Logistics Technician. The role involves coordinating logistics tasks, ensuring customer satisfaction, and managing logistics operations. The position offers flexible hours and potential for permanence, with benefits including RRSP after 6 months.
Our client, specializing in import and export, is looking for a Logistics Technician. Under the supervision of the president and a team member in logistics, the candidate will be responsible for coordinating daily tasks related to the ground transportation logistics of shipping containers and multiple cargoes.
Your tasks will be as follows:
-Study the files/clients, assess, and understand the related tasks and requirements of the client
-Set up the logistics to efficiently execute the necessary operations required for the file (request rates from carriers for cargo delivery to a destination, plan to pick up cargo in a closed trailer, flatbed, drop deck or other, contact the recipient and perform client follow-ups)
-Follow up and verify with the involved parties (shipping line, customs broker, freight forwarder, CN, CP, Port of Montreal, carriers, and clients) in the files to ensure the proper execution of tasks from the beginning to the end of the logistics chain
-If necessary, effectively manage problem situations and direct them to the right person to solve the issue quickly and maintain a high standard of customer service quality
-Ensure full satisfaction
-Ensure full customer satisfaction by addressing specific needs
-Finalize the file and inform the client that everything is completed and complies with their requirements
-Make annotations to the file for billing
Work hours from 7 am to 3 pm, Monday to Friday (flexibility possible)
Position with a high possibility of permanence
RRSP after 6 months of service
Salary to be discussed, based on experience
