Job summary

Soucy Group in Canada is seeking a logistics professional to coordinate all subsidiary logistics activities, including receiving, shipping, warehousing, and inventory control, following established procedures.

You will oversee transportation and customs compliance, monitor inventory metrics, drive productivity improvements, supervise staff, and collaborate with multiple departments to ensure timely, accurate delivery of products.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and coordinate all logistics activities (receiving, shipping, warehousing, and inventory turnover) in accordance with procedures.
• Coordinate internal procurement for production orders to ensure components are distributed to workstations.
• Monitor inventory accuracy, aging, turnover, receipts, and shipments.
• Analyze and resolve inventory reconciliation issues in our systems.
• Lead department performance and seek improvements in productivity and quality.
• Supervise department staff.
• Assess workforce needs and optimize material flow to support production pace.
• Oversee transportation and customs activities and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Promote and enforce health and safety standards.
• Collaborate with departments to deliver quality service.

You’ll analyze our current practices to identify areas for improvement and optimize our processes. In addition to managing customs documents and permits, you’ll provide support to the receiving and inventory teams. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Plan, supervise, and coordinate all of the subsidiary’s logistics activities (receiving, shipping, warehousing, and inventory turnover of materials in accordance with established procedures)
• Coordinate internal procurement (preparing materials for production orders based on various priorities to ensure the handling and distribution of components to different workstations)
• Monitor inventory accuracy, inventory age, inventory turnover, receipts, and shipments by performing various checks
• Analyze and manage inventory reconciliation issues in our systems
• Manage the performance of the department and its employees while seeking solutions to improve productivity and quality within the sector
• Supervise department employees
• Assess workforce needs within the sector and ensure the optimization of material flow required to support the production pace of the various product lines
• Oversee transportation and customs-related activities and ensure compliance with applicable regulations
• Promote and enforce various occupational health and safety standards and guidelines
• Collaborate closely with various departments to deliver quality service within the operational framework
