Our client, an asset-based 3rd party logistics company, is currently searching for a Logistics Coordinator in BC. This is a great opportunity to work with an awesome team!

Responsibilities :

1. Negotiate freight rates with carriers for domestic and cross-border TL and LTL shipments.
2. Manage dedicated rail accounts as necessary.
3. Track loads and provide customers with up-to-date information.
4. Coordinate daily shipments with carriers and customers.
5. Liaise with customers and carriers to facilitate pickup and delivery appointments.
6. Respond quickly to spot quotes.
7. Ensure the TMS contains current and complete data.
8. Be available after hours to assist with resolving issues.
9. Follow up on delivery delays or security issues.
10. Ensure closure of all orders in the TMS system.
11. Grow and maintain existing and new carrier or customer relationships.
12. Perform work with a sense of urgency and attention to detail.

Skills and Qualifications :

1. Minimum 2 years of logistics or dispatch experience in the transportation industry.
2. Experience in cross-border shipping, full-truckload, and less-than-truckload.
