Job summary

Bitumar, a specialist in high-performance bitumen solutions, is seeking a Logistics Coordinator in Montreal-East. You will ensure quality service to clients and suppliers regarding transport of orders, raw materials, and finished products while collaborating with departments to minimize costs.

Reporting to the Logistics Director, you will manage orders, shipments, routes, invoicing, and data in JDE, with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Hold a college diploma in transportation/logistics or equivalent.
• Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in transport management.
• Possess good computer skills and web navigation.
• Experience with JDE, Oracle, SAP or equivalent systems.
• Knowledge of customs systems.
• Bilingualism (English and French).
• Experience in rail and maritime environments is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Respond to requests from internal and external clients (refineries and road transport suppliers).
• Manage orders, shipments, and related documentation based on clients and transport type, according to supply plans.
• Coordinate transportation and truck dispatching while maintaining the tracking database up to date.
• Create and update truck routes (transport rates) in JDE.
• Create and update truck and train approach costs in JDE.
• Manage truck transport invoicing.
• Provide support to other sites during problematic invoicing situations.
• Manage safety issues with the Health and Safety department.
• Ensure constant information flow with operations and other involved departments.
• Participate in the planning of special projects.
