Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics Operations Management or Production Management, or a completed DEC in Transportation, with relevant experience.
• 1 to 3 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Allocate orders to carriers daily while ensuring profitability.
• Ensure suppliers meet order delivery deadlines.
• Ensure capacity to ship orders and meet billing targets.
• Supply distribution centers to optimize transportation costs and inventory levels.
• Perform inventory reconciliation for distribution centers.
• Provide operational support to factories and distribution centers.
• Support the sales team by answering questions.
• Oversee carriers to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Manage railcar fleet in transit and track railcars using QTS system.
• Negotiate daily with truck drivers (spot market).

The location in Montreal , ( Quebec , Canada ), is seeking talent to fill the position of Logistics Coordinator. This job is full-time permanent.

In addition to implementing shipping plans for the factories and loading areas under their responsibility, the Logistics Coordinator will have the following responsibilities:

• Allocate orders to the various carriers on a daily basis while ensuring profitability
• Ensure that suppliers meet order delivery deadlines;
• Ensure we have the necessary capacity to ship our orders and meet our billing targets
• Supply our distribution centers in a way that optimizes transportation costs and inventory levels, while maintaining an adequate level of customer service;
• Perform inventory reconciliation for our distribution centers;
• Provide operational support to the factories and distribution centers;
• Support the sales team by answering their questions;
• Oversee carriers to ensure compliance with company standards;
• Manage the fleet of railcars in transit (diversion, rebill, overweight, etc.);
• Track our railcars in transit using the QTS tracking system;
• Negotiate daily with truck drivers (spot market).

Your Team:

Reporting to the Logistics Operations Supervisor, you will be part of a dynamic team where your diverse skills will be put to good use. You will be called upon to collaborate with several departments and find ways to improve service for this business segment.

Your Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics Operations Management or Production Management, or a completed DEC in Transportation, combined with relevant experience;
• 1 to 3 years of relevant experience.

Your Skills:

• Excellent written and oral communication skills in both official languages;
• Ability to communicate effectively within a multidisciplinary team;
• Ability to bridge the gap between stakeholders at various levels;
• Flexibility and adaptability in a constantly changing sales environment;
• Strong organizational skills and a sense of priorities;
• Very good knowledge of Excel;
• Proactive attitude, ability to quickly find solutions and implement them.
