Job summary

L3Harris WESCAM in Waterdown, Ontario is seeking a 16-month Logistics Co-op to gain hands-on experience in inventory management and data-driven logistics under the supervision of the Logistics Manager.

You will learn material movement management, participate in audits, and help build a centralized data platform while coordinating with carriers, freight forwarders and internal teams. The term starts May 2026; CGP clearance is required; pay is $23/hour.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a 3 or 4 year university degree related to supply chain, data science, CS, IT or business.
• Must be able to complete a 16 month Co-Op term starting May 2026.
• Currently enrolled in an approved co-op program.
• Able to obtain Canadian CGP clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support process optimization projects in reliability, process control and quality improvement.
• Engage in inventory control, counts and audits.
• Apply material movement management practices.
• Contribute to export shipment communications statuses with internal and external partners.
• Assist in creating processes and a centralized data management platform.
• Utilize data tools (e.g. MS Excel, Access) to address daily logistics challenges.
• Help establish performance metrics aligning with growth strategy.
• Attend and contribute to GEMBA daily meetings.

As a subsidiary of L3Harris Technologies and within the Integrated Mission Systems Segment, the WESCAM division develops the most advanced optical sensor and targeting systems for global defense and military sectors, National Security, Search & Rescue and Airborne law enforcement agencies. About the Role

This is a 16 month co-op (with 12 month positions occasionally being available). This role will report directly to the Logistics Manager and will provide an opportunity to gain hands-on logistics and inventory management experience. You’ll have an opportunity to partner with various other teams to solve issues and provide solutions.

Primary Responsibilities

• Focus on process optimization projects in the areas of reliability, process control, and quality improvement
• Hands on experience with Inventory Control, Inventory Counts and Inventory Audits
• Hands on experience with learning and utilizing proper Material Movement Management
• Full interaction with Organization in relation to Communication Status on Export Shipments
• Support creation of processes and centralized data management platform, both in partnership with internal departments, as well as outside partners, such as carriers and freight forwarders
• Opportunities to gain hands-on logistics experience and to apply various data management tools (e.g. MS Excel, Access,) to solve day-to-day logistics challenges
• Work with the Logistics Manager to establish relevant performance metrics to support the organization’s growth strategy
• Attend and Lead Daily GEMBA Departmental Meetings

Desired Education and Experiences

• Enrolled in a 3 year or 4 year University Degree in the field of Supply Chain Management/Data Science/Computer Science/Information Technology/Business or equivalent
• Must be able to complete a 16 month Co-Op term starting May 2026
• Currently enrolled and in good standing with co-op program through accredited university
• Able to obtain Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP) clearance
