Job summary

Compass Group Canada (Beaver) Ltd. is seeking a Shipper Receiver in Richmond, BC. The role involves picking up and delivering orders, preparing pallets to meet standards, and upholding health and safety guidelines.

You will maintain a clean work area, meet time-sensitive deadlines, and may assist in other lounges as needed. Valid Serving It Right and RAIC access are required or pursued as conditions permit.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in shipping receiving is an asset.
• You must have a valid Serving It Right.
• Knowledge of health and safety rules.
• A team player with effective communication skills.
• Patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure.
• Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
• Able to gain RAIC (search pass).

Responsibilities

• Picking up and dropping off of incoming orders and delivering unit orders on a regular basis.
• Receives and prepares orders in an accurate, efficient and productive manner and assemble into organized skids that meet Airport Authority standards.
• Observes, reports and corrects all unsafe and unsanitary conditions that could cause employee accidents.
• Adhere to all HSQA standards.
• Maintains a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Performs all related requests, tasks and processes as required from Supervisor/Manager.
• Ability to reach, bend, twist, stoop, push and lift up to and including 40-50lbs frequently and 60lbs occasionally.
• Adhere to all HSQA polices.
• Considerable skill in efficiently lifting, stacking and building quality pallets.
• Skill in operating warehouse equipment ie. Pallet jack certification.
• Ability to meet time sensitive deadlines on a regular basis.
• Duties as assigned by managers/supervisors based on operational needs.
• You may also be asked, on occasion to assist in other lounges should the need arise.

Job description

The hourly wage rate for this position is $20. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
