Job summary

Canadian Mental Health Association Thames Valley Addiction and Mental Health Services in St. Thomas is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for the PEPP program on a locum, casual basis.

You will perform physical health assessments and coordinate care with psychiatrists to support early psychosis clients. Applicants must be registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario (RN-EC), have CPR certification, a valid driver’s license, and experience in mental health or primary care.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as an RN in the Extended Class is required.
• Current CPR certificate is required.
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle with adequate insurance.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical health assessments for PEPP clients to support psychiatric evaluation.
• Coordinate care with primary care providers, psychiatrists, pharmacies and community health partners.
• Provide short-term primary care for PEPP clients without a PCP.
• Administer intramuscular medications within scope of practice.
• Review assessments and clinical information from the team (PANSS/AIMS).
• Promote integration of physical and mental health care for early psychosis.
