Job summary

GreenTech Resources Worldwide Canada is seeking a Transport truck driver to move finished goods and materials across Regina and surrounding areas. You will follow routes, inspect vehicles, load cargo, and maintain logs while adhering to safety rules.

We require a high school diploma and 1–2 years of truck driving experience, with the ability to travel regularly, meet delivery schedules, and perform basic vehicle maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Proven work experience as a Truck Driver.
• Traffic laws/ DOT regulations/ driving knowledge.
• Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc).
• Must pass drug and alcohol test.
• Pallet jack experience required; forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly.
• Must have clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 80 pounds repeatedly throughout day.
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations.
• Listening and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers.
• Follow instructions; locate and read location and roadmaps.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
• Load and unload cargo.
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
• Pick up goods and materials, verify loads for accuracy, and deliver them as instructed.
• Document and log work/rest periods and kilometres spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts.
• Report road incidents to the dispatcher.
• Maintain a positive attitude with customers and comply with all safety policies.
