Job summary

Thomas Cavanagh Construction Limited in Pembroke, Ontario, seeks a reliable Loader Operator to load out aggregates safely and efficiently. The successful candidate will report to the Area Aggregate superintendent and work in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires at least 2 years of loader experience, physical capability for outdoor labor, a valid driver’s license, and a strong safety mindset. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating a loader in a shipping environment.
• Ability to perform physical tasks in a rugged outdoor environment, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job site.

Responsibilities

• Operate a shipping loader at various locations in and around the Pembroke area.
• Complete daily equipment inspections and monthly site safety inspections.
• Monitor visitor safety compliance and communicate site requirements and orientation to visitors and customers.
• Preform minor property maintenance at various locations and maintain good housekeeping. (grass cutting, trimming and road maintenance)
• Follow all health and safety protocols and report any potential hazards or incidents immediately.
• Assist production crews as requested

Wage Range:

The hourly rate for this position in Ontario at the start of employment is expected to be between $27.00 per hour and $31.00 per hour. However, the range offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
