Responsibilities

• Operate Front End Loader in a safe manner.
• Ensure equipment is properly maintained at all times.
• Other duties as required.

With two Nova Scotia locations in Glenholme and Canaan Mountain, OSCO Aggregates supplies crushed and natural construction aggregates for the concrete, asphalt, road-building and excavation industries. In addition, it manufactures specialty aggregates, such as pea stone for playgrounds, roofing ballast and red granite for use in exposed aggregate concrete.

Responsibilities

• Perform plant maintenance on aggregate wash plant equipment
• General indoor and outdoor maintenance
• General cleaning and maintenance of the yard
• Conduct pre-operational checks on the loader
• Operate Front End Loader in a safe manner
• Ensure equipment is properly maintained at all times
• Other duties as required

Requirements

• Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner
• Flexibility to work overtime when required
• Must be familiar with and adhere to service requirements, equipment and operator limitations and safe operating procedures
• Front End Loader experience
• Physically able to lift heavy objects (50lbs or more), Standing for long periods of time and bending and stretching
• Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures
