Job summary

Nasdaq is hiring an AI Engineer Specialist in Toronto for a hybrid role. You will design, build, and deploy AI systems powering Nasdaq Lens, owning end-to-end development and production operations. The position emphasizes Python expertise, AI agent harness frameworks, and AWS deployments, with collaboration across product and client teams.

You’ll work with CI/CD, Terraform, and data pipelines, maintaining databases and ensuring safe, accurate model behavior in regulated environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent with 4–7 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Expert-level Python development experience with automation and orchestration frameworks.
• Hands-on experience building AI agent harness frameworks, retrieval systems, SQL and relational databases.
• CI/CD pipelines, Git, and integrating systems through REST APIs and MCPs.
• Experience deploying and operating applications on AWS, and comfort with the Nasdaq tech stack.

Responsibilities

• Design and build LLM-powered agents and applications, owning the agent harness and core loop.
• Architect context management for long-running tasks, including memory, retrieval, and summaries.
• Establish evaluation, tracing, and observability for continuous improvement.
• Deploy agents and services in production on AWS using existing stack and patterns.
• Maintain and optimize databases and data-processing feeding the agents.
