District Realty Corporation, Brokerage in Ottawa seeks a Live-in Building Superintendent to oversee the safety and maintenance of a multi-residential property. You will engage with residents, coordinate repairs, and support day-to-day operations on-site.

You are service-focused, with strong communication and problem-solving skills, and able to handle on-call duties, month-end tasks, and safety compliance in a demanding environment. A valid high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum High school education or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of two years of relevant work experience or an apprenticeship or combination thereof.
• A passion for providing exceptional customer service delivery.
• Good judgement and problem solving skills.
• Attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Knowledge of mechanical and HVAC systems and related repairs.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook.
• Good communication skills (listening, verbal and written).
• Fluent in English; other languages are an asset.
• Knowledge of Residential Tenancies Act and Privacy Act.

Responsabilités

• Ensure the building is safe, clean, and presentable at all times.
• Maintain high client satisfaction through regular contact and proactive resident care.
• Handle resident issues and inquiries quickly and professionally.
• Show units to prospective tenants.
• Coordinate month-end duties and inspections; supervise contractors when required.
• Respond to maintenance requests and ensure safety compliance.
