Job summary

Crawford & Company is seeking a Desk Adjuster to join our Inside Claims Commercial Lines team remotely in Canada. Qualifications

Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Desk Adjuster to join our Inside Claims Commercial Lines team remotely in Canada.

Responsibilities
  1. Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle commercial auto AB and BI claims on the desktop for a dedicated client using various techniques and systems.
  2. Direct field adjusters on a task basis as required.
  3. Ensure accurate recording, reporting, and presentation of files.
Requirements
  1. Ability to conduct telephone investigations, evaluate, negotiate, and settle first and third-party commercial lines claims.
  2. Post-secondary education in an insurance-related field; working towards full license and CIP designation is required.
  3. Minimum of 4 CIPs completed; ability to obtain a probationary adjusting license for Ontario.
  4. Proficient in maintaining accurate and detailed activity, transaction, and reserve records.
  5. Advanced computer skills including Office 365 and Windows 10.
  6. Excellent communication skills. Must be a team player with a strong commitment to quality and customer service.
  7. Licensed in multiple provinces including Alberta and British Columbia, or if unlicensed, the ability to obtain a license is required.
  8. Bilingual in French and English would be considered an asset.
