Otter Co-op in Vernon, BC is hiring two part-time Liquor Store Associates for the Angry Otter Liquor location. You will provide friendly customer service, process transactions, and help keep shelves stocked. This role requires serving it right and a 19+ age, with the possibility of travel to other stores as needed.

The position offers competitive wages, a bonus program, benefits where eligible, and co-op membership benefits. Weekend and varied shifts are expected.

Qualifications

• Liquor retail experience preferred.
• Serving It Right license required.
• Must be over 19 years of age.
• Open availability across mornings, afternoons, evenings & weekends.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for full shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service in a courteous, efficient manner.
• Process register transactions, refunds, and returns; activate gift cards.
• Balance register drawer at end of shift per procedures.
• Stock, face, and rotate products on shelves.
• Receive, check, and put away deliveries.

What you’ll do:

Reporting to the Liquor Store Manager, responsibilities for this position include the following:

• Provide excellent customer service to guests in a courteous, efficient manner
• Process register transactions, refunds, and returns, activate gift cards
• Ensure register drawer is balanced at the end of shift following company procedures
• Stock, face, and rotate products on the shelves
• Receive, check, and put away deliveries
• Keep store and storage areas clean and organized
• Utilize product knowledge to promote sales
• Contribute to the Team in living the Corporate Values of Integrity, Community and Excellence
• Perform other duties as assigned

Who you are:

• WSET 1 minimum accreditation is required to be obtained within the first year of employment
• Ability to physically lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis and stand for full8 hourshift
• Must be committed to a SAFE working environment
• Must have reliable transportation has bus is not always reliable for all shifts
• MUST be over 19 years of age to be considered
• MUST have open availability and able to work a variety of shifts that include mornings, afternoons, and late evenings (closing shifts endingat 10pm) & weekends.
• This position is based out of the Monashees Liquor Store, though it may require on some occasions to travel and work at other locations as business needs arise
