Job summary

Prairie Co-operative in Melville, SK is hiring a part-time Liquor Clerk for the Gas Bar/Liquor Store. You will provide exceptional customer service, maintain a safe and efficient operation, and handle transactions at the point-of-sale.

Responsibilities include assisting customers with inquiries, staying informed on in-store promotions, pumping fuel, dispensing propane, and performing housekeeping to keep areas clean and compliant with SLGA regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service is preferred.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Be willing to complete SIRS and propane training
• Honest and trustworthy, results-oriented.

• Pump fuel and dispense propane as required.

What you'll do

• Responsible to provide an exceptional level of customer service and maintain a safe and efficient operation. Must adhere to all company policies, procedures and standards, as well as all regulatory requirements relating to the service and/or sale of alcohol.
• Responsible to provide information, assistance, and exceptional customer service to all customers. Responds to general customer inquiries and is familiar with in store promotions, bulletins, and updates.
• Handles and records transactions through the point-of-sale terminal and prepares daily cash reconciliations.
• Performs general housekeeping duties (spills, display fixtures, washrooms, etc.) to ensure all areas of responsibility are safe, organized, clean, and tidy.
• Responsible for following all policies and ensuring compliance with all SLGA regulations/legislation for all activities involving the liquor commodity and environmental fuel regulations.
• Will be required to pump fuel and dispense propane as required.
