At Melfort Liquor Loft a Liquor Clerk is responsible for providing customer service, stocking shelves and processing payments using a POS system.
Basic Roles of a Liquor Clerk:
- Offer and assist customers in finding his/her needs
- Provide recommendations and alternatives to customers
- Greet customers in a friendly manner
- Receive orders and restock shelves as needed
- Use the POS system to perform customer purchases and inventory checks
- Perform opening and closing routines
- Ensure the store is clean and orderly by performing basic housekeeping tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, etc.
- Work as a team with other co-workers to complete daily tasks
Requirements of a Liquor Clerk:
- Must adhere to provincial liquor laws as outlined by Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority (laws are learned through obtaining the provincially mandated Serve It Right certificate)
- Must adhere to all Melfort Liquor Loft policies and procedures
- Lift heavy boxes up to 50 pounds
- Comfortably bend, crouch, reach overhead and stand for longer period of times
- Be social and willing to approach and interact with customers
- Be able to handle and count cash accurately
Working Hours of a Liquor Clerk:
- Melfort Liquor Loft is open six days a week (MondaySaturday) and closed on Sundays
- Liquor clerks must be willing to work both day and evening shifts
Compensation:
- Wages are competitive and negotiable based on applicants previous relative experience
