Job summary

Keyera is seeking an Analyst, Liquids Infrastructure Financial Analysis to lead forecasting, planning, and performance reporting for liquids infrastructure assets. You will ensure accurate month-end closings and provide detailed variance explanations, leveraging accounting knowledge and systems expertise.

The role requires 5+ years in forecasting/accounting, strong Excel and data analysis skills, and CPA is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in accounting, finance, business or related field.
• CPA designation is preferred.
• Five or more years of forecasting, accounting, finance, revenue accounting, or related experience.
• Strong working knowledge of forecasting cycle, month-end close, account reconciliations, journal entries, variance analysis, financial controls, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare yearly budgets for Liquids Infrastructure Assets, incorporating commercial contracts to ensure accuracy and completeness of varying fees
• Work with Business Development and other Commercial groups to ensure any adjustments made to monthly Latest Estimate is reflected in forecasting models and captured in Monthly Management Reports
• Reconcile detailed forecasting models to Accounting Systems monthly, identify discrepancies, and advise postings before close
• Reconciliation of detailed forecasting models to Management Reporting packages monthly
• Create quarterly Top Customer report and MD&As for Liquids Infrastructure
• Perform assigned month-end and quarter-end close activities with accuracy and timeliness
• Review contract details, system mappings, rate structures, and transaction information to support accounting, invoicing, and revenue recognition outcomes
• Partner with Finance, Commercial, Business Development, Financial Systems, and other stakeholders to resolve questions
• Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements that improve accuracy, efficiency, control, and stakeholder service
• Supporting Senior Manager with ad-hoc requests from Business Development and other internal stakeholders
