Job summary

AltaGas is seeking a motivated accounting professional to join the Corporate Accounting team during a period of transformation. The role supports day-to-day financial activities and will enable the team to focus on a major ERP implementation initiative.

As the organization evolves, this position offers exposure to a broad range of accounting responsibilities and opportunities to contribute across multiple areas where support is most needed.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• CPA designation or in progress preferred.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end and quarter-end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Analyze balance sheet and income statement to ensure accuracy.
• Support financial and internal management reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues.
• Maintain robust documentation, controls, and audit readiness.
• Provide flexible coverage across accounting processes as priorities shift.
