Job summary

Amphenol Corporation's Amphenol Communications Solutions division seeks a Product Development Engineer to lead the design and development of liquid cooling solutions for front-end I/O connectors powering next-gen AI/ML platforms.

You will architect cooling plates, optimize microchannels, validate thermal performance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams while engaging customers to deliver robust, reliable, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical/Thermal Eng or related field.
• 5+ years in product development, thermal management or connectors.
• Proficient in CAD tools (SolidWorks/Creo) and thermal sims (ANSYS/FloTHERM).
• Excellent communication and customer-facing experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop liquid cooling plates for high-density front-end I/O connectors.
• Engineer microchannel structures, cold plate geometries, and flow paths.
• Define thermal performance tests and validate against standards.
• Lead cross-functional projects from concept to production.
• Engage with customers to understand requirements and provide technical support.
