Job summary

The Linux Association of Canada is seeking a skilled Linux System Administrator for a remote role based in Canada. You will manage Linux distributions (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu), patch and harden systems, and maintain security controls across cloud and virtualization platforms.

Responsibilities include configuring VM network interfaces, applying patches, scripting with Ansible and Python, documenting procedures, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver reliable, secure infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Linux system administration across major distributions: RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu
• OS patching and security hardening in cloud/VM environments
• Experience with VM networking and cloud platforms (VMware/OpenStack/KVM)
• Documentation of processes and procedures; strong communication with stakeholders

Responsibilities
