Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services Canada Inc. is seeking a Linux security-focused professional to lead hardening, vulnerability management, patch orchestration, and security tooling adoption for Linux estates in Canada.

The role requires coordinating with Platform Engineering, IT Security, and leadership to ensure compliant configurations, timely remediation, and effective endpoint protection using CrowdStrike and related tools.

Qualifications

• Collaborate with Linux and Platform Engineering to enforce hardening standards.
• Own Linux vulnerability lifecycle; triage findings from Qualys and drive remediation.
• Validate configuration against CIS benchmarks and security baselines; raise module gaps for remediation.
• Coordinate patching schedules and maintenance windows; ensure patch schedule adherence across the Linux estate.
• Evaluate and adopt ServiceNow as the patching orchestration layer.
• Deploy and validate CrowdStrike/Falcon across Linux hosts with the Linux team.
• Contribute to bi-weekly vulnerability reporting for senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own the Linux vulnerability lifecycle, triaging findings, prioritizing SLAs, and driving remediation.
• Validate configurations against CIS benchmarks and security baselines; identify gaps for remediation.
• Coordinate patching schedules and maintenance windows across the Linux estate; report misses.
• Support evaluation and adoption of ServiceNow as the patch orchestration layer.
• Deploy and validate CrowdStrike/Falcon agents on Linux hosts with the security team.
• Contribute to bi-weekly vulnerability reports for leadership.

Required skill set

Skills and Responsibilities:

• Partner with Linux and Platform Engineering teams to define and enforce hardening standards — new Linux systems must enter the estate compliant from day one, not remediated after the fact
• Own the Linux vulnerability lifecycle: triage findings from Qualys, prioritize by SLA, and work with the Linux team to drive remediation through Puppet and Foreman Track and report missed-target vulnerabilities across BTN and CMRI Linux estates; elevate with documented remediation or delegation plans per team ownership model
• Validate configuration compliance against CIS benchmarks and BMO security baselines; raise Puppet module gaps to Platform Engineering for remediation
• Coordinate patching schedules and maintenance windows; ensure BMO patch schedule adherence across the Linux estate
• Support evaluation and adoption of ServiceNow as the unified patching orchestration layer, replacing manually raised per-patch Jira change tickets with automated scheduled pipeline execution
• Deploy and validate endpoint security agents (CrowdStrike/Falcon) across Linux hosts in partnership with the Linux team
• Contribute to bi-weekly vulnerability reporting for senior leadership

Salary Range - CA$ 90,000 - CA$ 120,000 Per Year
