Select Food Products, Ltd. in Toronto, Ontario, is seeking a Line Operator to set up, operate and adjust production machinery, ensuring safety and adherence to customer specifications. You will understand the equipment, troubleshoot minor stoppages, and support efficient line performance.

Responsabilités

• Set up lines and re-assemble equipment
• Calibrate equipment and conduct parts changeovers
• Inspect all equipment and stations prior to production start-time
• Operate equipment and monitor line performance
• Troubleshoot and repair minor mechanical issues
• Perform quality audits in accordance with food safety code
• Accurately fill out all required documentation, pre-operational inspections, and daily productivity reports
• Perform adjustments to equipment in cases of quality defects
• Oversee housekeeping and daily clean-up of respective area
• Perform Post-operational sanitation
• Coordinate raw materials, packaging, and finished product with material handlers
• Report any issues and assist in near miss or accident investigations

Day Shift: Monday - Friday; 5am - 3:15pm

Afternoon Shift: Monday - Friday; 3pm - 1:15am

Summary

The Line Operator must acquire functional understandings of their assigned equipment(s) and possess the ability to troubleshoot and repair minor mechanical stoppages.

Working Conditions/Potential Hazards

• Must wear personal protective equipment while on the plant floor (including warehouse areas) - Safety shoes, safety glasses, bump cap, company uniform
• Must wear hygiene required PPE while on the plant floor (including warehouse areas) - Hair net, beard/moustache net (if applicable)
• High lift-truck traffic
• Temperature changing environment: humidity, heat, cold
• Noise-heavy environment, personal hearing protection can be provided upon request
• Exposure to wet conditions, slippery floors
• Exposure to food odors
• Possibility for heaving lifting, manually moving products up to 50lbs
