Job summary

JD Sweid Foods Ltd. is seeking a Machine Operator – Set Up to ensure efficient tear down, sanitation and setup of plant equipment for on-time production starts.

You will set up using set up sheets, place equipment on the floor, load product, perform light maintenance and support start-ups for multiple systems. Training on safety, HACCP, and forklift operation is provided. This is a full-time on-site role in a food manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Strong communication in verbal and written form.
• Able to work independently under time constraints.
• Follow safety procedures.
• Forklift license required; stacker experience preferred.
• Experience with food safety and HACCP principles.

Responsibilities

• Set up equipment using Set Up Sheets/Maps and product flows to prepare proper equipment for placement.
• Ensure proper placement of equipment on the floor.
• Fill equipment with necessary product and adjust for proper operation.
• Perform soft maintenance including belt repairs, adjustments and greasing; report issues as required.
• Coordinate start-up of ovens, fryers, tunnels, freezers, pacmac and scales for production.
• Stage product for the production run.
• Assist with pre-op activities as needed.
• Complete other projects as directed by supervisor.

Job description

The purpose of the Machine Operator – Set Up role is to ensure the effective tear down, sanitation and set up of the plant equipment for an on time production start.

• Limited assistance with pre op. May assist with addition pressure rinse
• Set up: Using Set Up Sheets/Maps and Product flows, ensure proper equipment is prepared and ready to be moved into place
• Ensure proper placement on the floor
• Once equipment is placed, fill equipment with necessary product to ensure proper operation. Adjust as necessary.
• Soft Maintenance including belt repairs, adjustments and greasing. Report any mechanical issues as required.
• Effective start up or Oven, Fryers, Tunnels, Freezer, Pacmac and Scale
• Stage product that will be used in production run
• Other projects or assignments as directed by supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong communication both verbally and written format
• Ability to work well on own and under time constraint
• Attention to detail and the ability to understand documentation
• Proven ability to follow safety procedures
• Ability to maintain license for forklift license/stacker
• Will be trained on High Pressure system
• Able to do heavy lifting 25 kg
• Experience with food safety and HACCP principles
• Good attendance and performance history.
