Key Duties
- Manage material loans, customer transactions, and AOG (Aircraft on Ground) requests.
- Coordinate and manage the sourcing, delivery, and urgent transfer of parts across the entire Air Canada system (domestic and international) 24/7, liaising with Line Stations to ensure timely movement of critical materials.
- Coordinate the movement of materials for AOG/MEL requirements, including forwarding On Board Parts Boxes (OPB), proactively review open MELs to ensure inventory availability at upcoming stations, and manage the return of AOG parts from outstations.
- Authorized to purchase from OEMs and vendors, borrow or acquire parts from other airlines, and coordinate loans or accommodation sales when operational requirements permit.
- Communicate with key stakeholders, including internal teams, Stores Duty Manager, Logistics, MOC, Line Maintenance, vendors, airlines, and transportation companies.
- Ensure regulatory compliance by verifying Parts Certification for Airworthiness (FAA, EASA, TCCA), maintaining proper documentation, and performing self-audits and Material Release processes as required.
- Prepare and execute customs documentation, liaise with brokers for clearance, and ensure proper paperwork compliance for drop shipments, including accurate receipt and trace records.
- Utilize the Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC) and Parts Manual to accurately identify and clarify part specifications.
- Resolve effectivity issues in the TRAX system or other internal databases.
- Optimize delivery times by collaborating with specialized couriers.
- Participate in meetings and conference calls related to material supply.
- May perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications
- Degree in Logistics, Commerce or Sciences
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to maintain a customer focused attitude in a demanding, high stress environment;
- Efficient in Microsoft Office Suites
- Technical understanding of aircraft parts certification and airworthiness regulations (FAA, TCCA, EASA).
- Experience navigating and utilizing IPD/Parts Manuals and aviation inventory management software (e.g., TRAX, SAP)
- Experience in trade, an asset;
- Experience in airline operations;
- Be a team player
- Demonstrate punctuality and dependability to support overall team success in a fast-paced environment;
- Candidates must be available for shift work in a 24/7 operational environment, including evenings, nights, weekends, and statutory holidays;
