Job summary

The Arlington Hotel in Paris, Ontario, invites you to join Carmens Group as a Line Cook. This part-time, permanent position offers a compensation of $18.50–$21.00 per hour plus gratuities and a collaborative kitchen team focused on quality and presentation.

You will prepare dishes according to recipes, maintain your station, and uphold safety standards while supporting events and busy service periods.

Qualifications

• Experience in restaurant, banquet, or high-volume kitchen.
• Strong knife skills and familiarity with cooking techniques.
• Food safety credentials are assets to the role.
• Culinary trade certification or Red Seal designation are assets.
• Genuine interest in food and pride in your work.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and events.

Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Set up, stock, and maintain your station throughout service.
• Keep work areas and equipment clean, safe, and organized.
• Follow food handling, storage, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Assist with food preparation, plating, restaurant service, and events.
• Work with the culinary team to provide timely, consistent service.

• Job Type: part‑time, permanent

What You’ll Be Doing:

As a Line Cook at The Arlington Hotel, you’ll prepare quality dishes that meet our standards for flavour and presentation. You’ll work alongside a supportive culinary team, helping keep service organized, efficient, and consistent.

• Prepare menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.

• Prepare each dish with care, accuracy, and pride.

From daily restaurant service to private events and celebrations, you’ll help create a welcoming dining experience for our guests.

What You Bring to the Table:

• Experience in a restaurant, banquet, or high‑volume kitchen.
• Strong knife skills and familiarity with a range of cooking techniques.
• A Safe Food Handler’s Certificate is an asset.
• Culinary Trade Certification or a Red Seal designation is an asset.
