Job summary

Original Joe’s - West Kelowna is seeking a Prep Cook/Line Cook to join a fast-paced kitchen focused on great food and hospitality. You’ll prepare and cook menu items, assist with prep, and help maintain a clean, organized workspace while upholding food safety standards.

We train the right person who is eager to learn and grow, offering a competitive hourly wage plus tips and opportunities for advancement in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a line cook or prep cook in a high-volume kitchen is an asset.
• Willingness to train and grow with the team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items to specification, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and quality.
• Assist in prepping ingredients and setting up stations, following recipes and kitchen guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace, ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are met.
• Collaborate with your kitchen team, communicating effectively to ensure smooth service during busy shifts.
• Monitor food stock and supplies, assisting with inventory management and minimizing waste.
• Work efficiently to meet kitchen demands, ensuring orders are prepared quickly without sacrificing quality.
• Assist with kitchen cleaning tasks and equipment maintenance as required.
