Kicking Horse Coffee Co. is hiring for an on-site kitchen role in Invermere, BC. This permanent, on-call position offers flexible shifts (3–8 hours) with early starts and late finishes.

You’ll join a team dedicated to great food and exceptional guest experiences, with shifts that adapt to demand and a competitive hourly rate with tips. The role emphasizes food safety, speed, and quality plating, while supporting a safe, respectful workplace and opportunities to grow within a mountain-café

Qualifications

• A genuine love of food.
• Experience in a commercial kitchen.
• Strong knife skills and attention to detail.
• Solid understanding of food safety practices.
• Commitment to a safe, respectful, and inclusive workplace.
• Ability to follow recipes and deliver consistent results.
• Pride in creating great food and presenting it well.
• Comfortable on your feet for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada.
• Food Safe Level 1 or 2, or willingness to obtain it.
• Culinary or hospitality education is a bonus, not a requirement.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh, high-quality food our guests love.
• Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and food-safe.
• Stay on top of prep and flag inventory needs early.
• Follow recipes and plating standards with consistency.
• Use prep lists and procedures to keep quality high.
• Follow safety and quality program practices.
• Contribute ideas and collaborate with the team to keep improving how we work.
