Chances Cowichan Casino in the Cowichan Valley is seeking reliable cooks to join our team. You will prepare meals to set recipes, stock ingredients, and maintain a clean workspace under the supervision of the Food & Beverage Manager.

The role requires 19+ with high school or equivalent, and current Food Safe and Serving It Right certificates. Responsibilities include handling orders, assisting with menu development for events, and ensuring safety around equipment.

Qualifications

• Must be 19+ with high school or equivalent.
• Current Food Safe certificate is required.
• Serving It Right certificate is required.
• Be able to pass a background check and legally work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals for established menu items and prep food such as hand-cut fries and burgers.
• Stock line ingredients and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Consult with Food & Beverage Manager on new recipes and menus for events.
• Remain calm and manage multiple orders during busy periods.
• Maintain awareness of safety around equipment and respond to hazards.
• Assist with dishes and deliveries as needed.
• Interact with customers regarding menu items and promotions.
