Our restaurant portfolio in the Kelowna International Airport includes: White Spot, Subway, Tim Hortons, and retail stores.

At SSP Canada, our Line Cooks play a vital role in receiving food orders, preparing delicious dishes for our guests, and properly setting up the kitchen to ensure every team member has the products and tools they need during their shift. Our Line Cooks enjoy working in the Back of House.

Responsibilities as a Line Cook at SSP Canada:
  • Follow recipes, check portions, and present dishes as ordered.
  • Ensure the kitchen/work station is properly set up each shift, including placing orders, storing all fresh, dry, and frozen goods, condiments, and supplies.
  • Handle, store, and rotate stored products properly.
  • Clean and tidy work areas and storage spaces, including refrigerators and freezers, and manage waste bins.
  • Maintain hygiene standards through general and specific cleaning procedures using appropriate products, as directed by the manager.
  • Take instructions from the manager, assist with stocktaking, and ensure everything is in order before leaving.
Skills and Requirements:
  • Minimum one year of experience in a food service environment.
  • High school diploma preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Food handler’s permit, as required by law.
  • Brand certification, as required.
  • Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for extended periods.
