Job summary

Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Limited in Kamloops, BC, is seeking a Line Cook for a casual part-time role. You will work with kitchen staff to process orders and prepare dishes to high standards, contributing to a fast-paced and collaborative kitchen environment.

The position emphasizes teamwork, learning new tasks, time management, and availability for evenings and weekends. A Food Safe level and culinary training are preferred assets.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in a cook position or equivalent culinary experience.
• FOODSAFE Level 1 Certificate (In BC) is an asset
• Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts preferred

Wage: Cook 1 - $21.59 per hour; Cook 2 - $19.12 per hour; Cook 3 - $18.25 per hour

What You Bring

• 1 year experience in a cook position or equivalent culinary experience
• Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts or comparable education preferred
• FOODSAFE Level 1 Certificate (In BC)/Mini Food Safety Course (In Alberta) is an asset
• Experience with various knife-cutting techniques, and knowledgeable in food safety preparation
• Ability to lift items weighted similar to a crate of potatoes and stand for long periods of time
