Job summary
Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Limited is seeking a Third Cook for our Grand Villa Casino in British Columbia. The role offers a casual to full-time pathway with an hourly wage of $21.18 and a strong benefits package.
Responsibilities include proper food prep and presentation, maintaining safety and cleanliness, inventory assistance, and supporting a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen. Candidates should have a secondary school diploma or related experience and knife handling skills.
Qualifications
- Secondary school diploma or 1 year related work experience.
- Safe food handling course and knife handling skills.
- Ability to obtain Category 2 Gaming Assistant registration with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.
- Proven high level of Customer Service.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced high-volume environment.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in hot, cold and humid environments.
Responsibilities
- Proper preparation and presentation of food with strict adherence to food safety standards.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary and organized workspace in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Board of Health requirements.
- Assist with inventory and placing orders.
- Perform all job duties in a safe and responsible manner.
- Adhere to departmental quality standards.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
