Job summary

Dillon Consulting Limited is seeking an Electrical Engineer specializing in Lighting and Traffic Signals. You’ll contribute to technical design across multi-disciplinary projects, ensuring safe, efficient illumination and traffic systems for municipal and private clients.

Based in one of Dillon’s Ontario offices, you’ll engage in design, drawings, and contract admin while collaborating with teams and stakeholders. Strong communication and project management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in electrical engineering.
• Licensed to practice as a professional engineer in Ontario, or eligible within six months.
• 5–10 years of experience, preferably in consulting.
• IMSA Certifications in Traffic Signal Level I and II and Roadway Lighting Technician levels are assets.

Responsibilities

• Design traffic signals and illumination.
• Prepare lighting and traffic signal layouts.
• Prepare wiring diagrams and electrical details.
• Photometric analysis of lighting systems.
• Design low voltage electrical distribution for subdivisions.
• Voltage drop calculations.
• Prepare contract documents and specifications.
• Site visits and contract administration.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary projects for public and private sector clients.
• Business travel to other Dillon offices when required.
