Job summary

GDI Integrated Facility Services is seeking a part-time light duty cleaner in Ontario to perform floor care, washrooms, kitchens, and general cleaning across assigned sites. The role emphasizes reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

• Requires attention to detail, a pride in delivering excellent service, organization, and high levels of energy and endurance.
• Ability to use cleaning tools and equipment.
• Experience with auto scrubbers an asset.
• Dependable and have reliable transportation.

• Sweep/dry mop, and wash/buff floors and stairwells utilizing manual and power scrubbing equipment as applicable.
• Vacuum carpets and matting in offices and common areas. Spot clean daily and shampoo rugs in assigned buildings as directed.
• Maintain and carry out preventative maintenance procedures on floor machines, vacuums, automatic scrubbers and buffers.
• Additional responsibilities as applicable to site: Empty garbage and recycling containers, replace liners, and transport garbage/recycling to collection points.

General Description

A light duty cleaner is generally responsible for cleaning tasks including but not limited to hard surface floor cleaning, carpeted area vacuuming, dusting, cleaning washrooms and kitchenettes, and the collection of garbage and recycling.

Schedule Hours

Part Time, 5:00 pm - 10:00 pm Monday to Friday

Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain and carry out preventative maintenance procedures on floor machines, vacuums, automatic scrubbers and buffers.
• Additional responsibilities as applicable to site:
  • Empty garbage and recycling containers, replace liners, and transport garbage/recycling to collection points.
  • Ensure washrooms and kitchens/kitchenettes are fully cleaned including clean/disinfect and polish fixtures and appliances as applicable, door handles, walls, mirrors, countertops, partitions, waste receptacles and floors.
  • Replenish supply of consumables such as toilet paper, hand towels, soap, sanitizer, etc.
  • Spot clean walls, doors, kick plates, etc. removing marks and smudges from vertical surfaces.
  • Clean elevator(s) as applicable.
  • Monitors possible defects such as clogged urinals and lights out.
  • High dusting and wall washing.
• Additional duties as required.
