Job summary

Andrea’s Hotel in Watson Lake, Yukon is currently seeking a Light duty cleaner. The position is permanent and full-time with flexible shifts including Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Overtime, On Call and Morning.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated with excellent interpersonal skills and ready to start promptly. The job includes cleaning floors, dusting, vacuuming, making beds, stocking linen, cleaning kitchens and bathrooms, handling housekeeping tasks, and assisting guests.

Qualifications

• The candidate should be fluent in English language.
• There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• Candidate having experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• The candidate must sweep, mop, wash and polish floors.
• The candidate must dust furniture.
• The candidate will be responsible for vacuuming carpets, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture.
• The candidate will be responsible for making beds and changing sheets.
• The candidate must distribute clean towels and toiletries.
• The candidate must stock the linen closet.
• The candidate will be expected to clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances.
• The candidate must handle and report lost and found items.
• The candidate must respond to guests’ requests for extra supplies or other items.
• The candidate must provide basic facility information.
• The candidate will be responsible for picking up debris and emptying trash cans.
• The candidate will be expected to clean the windows, walls, and ceilings.
