Job summary

GDI Services (Canada) LP is seeking a part-time janitor in Greenwood, Nova Scotia to maintain clean floors, washrooms, offices and common areas, and to collect and dispose of garbage.

The schedule is Monday to Friday, 2 hours per day after banks close. Responsibilities include mopping and sweeping floors, daily washroom cleaning, restocking supplies, and basic maintenance duties as needed. A Criminal Background Check is a requirement for this position.

Qualifications

• Experience in general janitorial duties such as floor cleaning and waste disposal.
• Ability to follow cleaning schedules and safety procedures.
• Must be able to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Spot cleans walls, partitions, light switches, and doors

General Description

A janitor is generally responsible for the cleaning of all hard floor surfaces and carpets, washrooms, common areas, offices, and the collection and removal of garbage from drop points to a garbage bin. Other responsibilities could be included.

Schedule

Monday to Friday – Part Time - 2 hours a day after the bank closes

• Daily cleaning of washrooms, offices, lockers rooms and lunchrooms
• Empties and cleans garbage cans
• Spot cleans walls, partitions, light switches, and doors
• Restocks single unit dispensers containing soap, towels, toilet tissue and sanitary napkins
• Dusts and damp wipes office equipment
• Additional duties may be required from time to time.
