Job summary

GDI Services (Canada) LP is seeking a janitor to maintain cleanliness of floors, washrooms, offices and common areas in Nova Scotia. The role includes waste collection and basic upkeep across facilities.

Schedule is Monday to Friday, 3 hours per day. A Criminal Background Check and RCMP clearance are required. GDI provides accommodations during recruitment for applicants with disabilities where possible.

Responsibilities

• Clean floors (mopping, sweeping)
• Daily cleaning of washrooms, offices, lockers rooms and lunchrooms
• Empties and cleans garbage cans
• Spot cleans walls, partitions, light switches, and doors
• Restocks single unit dispensers containing soap, towels, toilet tissue and sanitary napkins
• Dusts and damp wipes office equipment
• Additional duties may be required from time to time.

General Description

A janitor is generally responsible for the cleaning of all hard floor surfaces and carpets, washrooms, common areas, offices, and the collection and removal of garbage from drop points to a garbage bin. Other responsibilities could be included.
