Job summary

City of Brandon Parks and Recreation Services is seeking a Lifeguard/Instructor for Brandon's Community Sportsplex. The role covers lifeguarding duties and instructing swim programs, with responsibilities for pool maintenance and safety. Applicants must hold the required certifications and be able to work days, evenings, and weekends.

Competitive hourly pay, open until filled; interview process included. This position supports water safety education and community recreation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Standard First Aid and CPR Level C required before start date.
• Lifesaving Society National Lifeguard award required.
• Swim for Life and/or Lifesaving Instructor certification preferred or required.
• Criminal Record Check incl. Vulnerable Sector Verification required before start date.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard lifeguarding duties and supervise pool users.
• Provide instruction in Brandon’s community pool programs.
• Maintain pool area cleanliness and safety throughout shifts.
• Work varied shifts including days, evenings and weekends.
