Job summary

Township of Esquimalt is seeking auxiliary Lifeguard/Swim Instructors to support the Recreation Centre's aquatic programs. The role reports to the Aquatic Supervisor and requires current lifeguard and instructor certifications.

Partial high school, Standard First Aid with CPR-C within 2 years, and National Lifeguard Pool Certification are required for consideration. Salary is CAD 27.08–29.25 hourly with 14% in lieu of benefits.

Qualifications

• Partial High School requirement.
• Current Standard First Aid and CPR-C within 2 years.
• Lifesaving Society Swim for Life Instructor certification.
• National Lifeguard Pool Certification.

Responsibilities

• Fill auxiliary Lifeguard and Swim Instructor positions.
• Report to the Aquatic Supervisor.
• Assist with aquatic program delivery as needed.
