The City of Ottawa is seeking multiple part-time lifeguards for various shifts to ensure safety in public swimming pools. Perform the surveillance necessary to prevent accidents by administering policies, procedures, rules, and regulations governing the conduct of patrons using the pool and perform rescues and first aid necessary for the preservation of life in a team setting.
Graduate of Grade 10.
Minimum age requirement is 15 years of age.
Current National Lifeguard Pool certificate
Current Lifesaving Instructor certificate
Current Standard First Aid, CPR and/or AED certificates
Current Oxygen Therapy or LSS Airway Management certificate
AODA Accessibility/IASR Training
Current Lifesaving Instructor certificate is an asset
