Job summary

The City of Laval is seeking a Lifeguard for application pool across all city pools. The temporary, on-site position runs from January to March 2027, offering CAD 21.95 per hour with days, evenings and weekend shifts.

You will ensure user safety, enforce regulations, assist in activities and maintenance, and prepare reports. First aid will be provided, with authorities contacted as needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold a National Lifeguard certificate issued by the Lifesaving Society.
• Assets: Swimming Instructor or Lifeguard Instructor certificates.

Responsibilities

• Ensure user safety at all times and enforce pool regulations.
• Collaborate in organizing activities and pool maintenance.
• Maintain equipment and site in good condition and complete required reports.
• Provide first aid and follow directives for serious injuries.
• Call the police for vandalism, theft, or incidents when required.

SALARY: $21.95/hour

SCHEDULE: Days, evenings, and weekends

WORK LOCATION: All pools in the City of Laval

The challenges that await you

• Ensures the safety of users at all times.
• Ensures the safety of users at all times;
• Ensures compliance with pool regulations;
• Collaborates in the organization and animation of activities at their pool;
• Collaborates in maintenance work;
• Keeps equipment and the site in good condition;
• Ensures that the various required reports are completed;
• Submits a report to their immediate supervisor regarding any anomalies observed;
• Provides first aid and executes received directives in case of serious injuries;
• Calls the police in cases of vandalism, theft, and incidents that justify it.
