Community Integration Services Society is seeking compassionate Life Skills Workers to help adults with developmental disabilities participate in community activities in Port Coquitlam. The role emphasizes safety, supportive guidance, and individualized goal setting within a casual, day-time schedule.

You will assist with accessing programs, provide behavioral support, and help clients engage in activities like skating, swimming, and outings while using adaptive technology and maintaining

Qualifications

• Goal driven and able to help set goals and create programs to assist individuals in achieving those goals.
• Clear communication both verbally and in writing using computers and technology.
• Active participant in community activities and able to engage clients in activities with peers.

Responsabilités

• Assist clients in accessing community programs and participate with them in activities such as skating, swimming, shopping, bowling, and other events.
• Provide behavioral support when working with individuals with challenging behaviors across tasks and activities.
• Use adaptive technology and mobility devices as needed to support client participation.
• Adapt and modify activities daily to include clients and meet individual goals with measurable outcomes.
• Prepare reports, develop guidelines, analyze data, and maintain client records.
