Job summary

Kinsight Society is seeking a Community Support Worker to assist people with developmental and physical disabilities, co-design activities, and promote participation in community life. The role emphasizes person-centered plans and access to community programs.

You will work various shifts, primarily weekdays, in Port Coquitlam and New Westminster area locations, with potential evenings and weekends based on program needs.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Human Services or equivalent education.
• Experience supporting people with disabilities in community settings or facilities.
• Experience providing support to adults with developmental and physical disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance and support to people with developmental and physical disabilities.
• Co-design and provide creative opportunities to facilitate learning and participation in the community.
• Offer one-to-one and group skill development and independence-building.
• Help build relationships and create community connections.
