Qualifications

• Life sciences degree required.
• Minimum 2 years in medical communications or a similar setting.
• Impeccable English spelling, punctuation and grammar.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced agency environment.
• Strong multitasking, planning and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, EndNote, Outlook, Teams and SharePoint.
• Experience with digital markup and tracked changes.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Openness to learning, feedback and career development.

Responsibilities

• Review and edit manuscripts, abstracts, posters, slides and PDFs for grammar and clarity.
• Ensure alignment with house, client and journal style guides.
• Apply digital markup tools and provide actionable editorial feedback.
• Proofread copy for layout considerations and liaise with studios/journals for amendments.
• Verify figures, tables and PDFs against submitted materials for accuracy.
• Collaborate with the scientific team to resolve data discrepancies.
• Maintain client style guides and ensure consistent application across accounts.
• Check copyright rights and permissions for reproduced materials.
• Record and monitor actual vs. budgeted time and submit timesheets weekly.
• Flag scope, timeline or budget misalignments proactively.
