Job summary

Kal Tire is seeking a 310T Licensed Truck and Coach Technician for our Osgoode, ON location. The role involves routine maintenance, complex repairs on semi-trucks, trailer alignments, diagnostics, electrical work, and more, with a clear path to Lead Technician.

Starting wages are $45 per hour, plus a $5,000 Recruitment & Retention Bonus. We offer extended health, dental, and vision benefits for full-time and part-time permanent employees, RRSP matching, and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Fully licensed as a Heavy Duty Technician (310T or Red Seal).
• A valid driver’s license.
• 3+ years hands‑on experience with brakes, shocks, and wheel alignments.
• Experience inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing various vehicles.
• Strong attention to detail and methodical problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Perform brake and suspension repairs, engine diagnostics, and routine maintenance.
• Mentor apprentices and support skill development.
• Work with a team on diverse vehicles from passenger cars to light trucks.
• Identify service opportunities with Sales team.
• Maintain high safety and quality standards in all tasks.

• Perform a wide range of general mechanical services, including brake and suspension repairs, engine diagnostics, and routine maintenance.
• Mentor and coach apprentices by sharing your expertise and supporting their skill development in a learning‑focused environment.
• Collaborate with a skilled team while working on various vehicles, from standard passenger cars to light trucks.
• Identify potential mechanical service opportunities in partnership with the Sales team.

Qualifications:

• Fully licensed as a Heavy Duty Technician (310T or Red Seal certified).
• A valid driver's license.
• Brings a minimum of 3 years of hands‑on experience with front‑end brakes, shocks, and wheel alignments.
• Experienced in performing inspections, diagnostics, adjustments, servicing, and repairs on a variety of vehicles.
• Demonstrates excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem‑solving.
