Job summary

Maple Mazda, part of Zanchin Automotive Group, is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Technician to join the team in Vaughan, ON. The role focuses on preventative maintenance and repairs for customer and dealership vehicles, following manufacturer guidelines and using computerized diagnostic tools.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of experience, a 310S license in good standing, and the ability to work with manual or automatic transmissions.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years proven experience as an Automotive Service Technician.
• Post Secondary School diploma, or equivalent experience.
• 310S Mechanic License in good standing.
• Ability to operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
• Driver's License and clean Driver's Abstract.
• Ability to adapt to a changing environment and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and identify vehicle repair and/or malfunction.
• Perform vehicle repair or maintenance efficiently and accurately per guidelines.
• Inspect engine and run road tests to diagnose and isolate faults.
• Inspect electronic systems and repair/upgrade as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance to ensure vehicle longevity.
• Repair or replace parts across fuel, brake, steering, suspension, engine, exhaust, climate control and electrical systems.
• Document all repairs on the repair order.
• Road test vehicles as required.

About the opportunity…

As an integral part of the “we can do that” operation, this position is responsible for performing vehicle preventative maintenance and repair on customer and dealership vehicles. Specifically:

• diagnose and identify vehicle repair and/or malfunction
• perform the vehicle repair or maintenance efficiently and accurately, based on the company and manufacturer guidelines and standards
• inspect vehicle engine in operation, road test motor vehicle, and test automotive systems and components using computerized diagnostic and other testing devices to diagnose and isolate faults
• inspect vehicle computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain and upgrade
• perform routine maintenance work to ensure the functionality and longevity of the vehicle
• adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems including fuel system, brakes, steering and suspension, engine and drive train, emission control and exhaust, cooling and climate control, and electrical and electronic systems using hand tools and other specialized automotive repair equipment
• document all vehicle repair and maintenance performed, on the repair order
• road tests vehicles, as required

About you…

Ideal candidates will have a strong background and proven experience as a technician, including:

• 2 to 5 years proven experience as an Automotive Service Technician
• Post Secondary School diploma, or equivalent experience
• 310S Mechanic License in good standing
• ability to operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles
• Driver's License and clean Drivers Abstract
• ability to adapt to a changing environment and meet deadlines
