Job summary

Maple Hyundai, part of Zanchin Automotive Group, is seeking an Automotive Service Technician to join the team in Vaughan. The role involves diagnosing, repairing and maintaining customer and dealership vehicles with focus on quality and efficiency.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years’ experience, a 310S license, and a valid driver’s license. Competitive pay, benefits, and ongoing training are provided within a supportive, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years proven experience as an Automotive Service Technician.
• Post secondary diploma or equivalent experience.
• 310S Mechanic License in good standing.
• Driver's License and clean driving record.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and identify vehicle repair and/or malfunction.
• Perform vehicle repair or maintenance efficiently and accurately per guidelines.
• Inspect engine, test automotive systems using diagnostic tools to isolate faults.
• Inspect vehicle electronic systems to repair, maintain and upgrade.
• Perform routine maintenance to ensure vehicle longevity.
• Adjust/replace parts of automotive systems using hand tools and equipment.
• Document all repair and maintenance on the repair order.
• Road test vehicles as required.

The expected pay rate for this role is $35.00 - $40.00 per hour based on experience with potential bonus based on hourly performance

About the opportunity…

As an integral part of the “we can do that” operation, this position is responsible for performing vehicle preventative maintenance and repair on customer and dealership vehicles. Specifically:

• diagnose and identify vehicle repair and/or malfunction
• perform the vehicle repair or maintenance efficiently and accurately, based on the company and manufacturer guidelines and standards
• inspect vehicle engine in operation, road test motor vehicle, and test automotive systems and components using computerized diagnostic and other testing devices to diagnose and isolate faults
• inspect vehicle computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain and upgrade
• perform routine maintenance work to ensure the functionality and longevity of the vehicle
• adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems including fuel system, brakes, steering and suspension, engine and drive train, emission control and exhaust, cooling and climate control, and electrical and electronic systems using hand tools and other specialized automotive repair equipment
• document all vehicle repair and maintenance performed, on the repair order
• road tests vehicles, as required

About you…

Ideal candidates will have a strong background and proven experience as a technician, including:

• 2 to 5 years proven experience as an Automotive Service Technician
• Post Secondary School diploma, or equivalent experience
• 310S Mechanic License in good standing
• ability to operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles
• Driver's License and clean Drivers Abstract
• ability to adapt to a changing environment and meet deadlines
• ability to communicate professionally (verbally and written)
