Job summary

Genesis Maple, part of Zanchin Automotive Group, is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Technician to join the team in Vaughan. You will diagnose, repair and maintain customer and dealership vehicles with company support and ongoing training.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of relevant experience, a valid 310S license, and the ability to operate manual and automatic transmissions. We offer a competitive pay rate, tools provided, and opportunities for career growth within the group.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years proven experience as an Automotive Service Technician.
• Post secondary school diploma or equivalent experience.
• 310S Mechanic License in good standing.
• Clean Driver's Abstract and valid Driver's License.
• Ability to operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and identify vehicle repair and/or malfunction.
• Perform repairs or maintenance efficiently per guidelines and standards.
• Inspect engine operation, test systems, and diagnose faults with tools.
• Inspect and upgrade vehicle computer and electronic systems.
• Perform routine maintenance to ensure longevity of vehicles.
• Repair or replace parts across major automotive systems.
• Document all repair work on the repair order.
• Road test vehicles as required.

The expected pay rate for this role is $35.00 - $40.00 per hour based on experience with potential bonus based on hourly performance.

About the opportunity...

As an integral part of the we can do that operation, this position is responsible for performing vehicle preventative maintenance and repair on customer and dealership vehicles. Specifically:

• diagnose and identify vehicle repair and/or malfunction
• perform the vehicle repair or maintenance efficiently and accurately, based on the company and manufacturer guidelines and standards
• inspect vehicle engine in operation, road test motor vehicle, and test automotive systems and components using computerized diagnostic and other testing devices to diagnose and isolate faults
• inspect vehicle computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain and upgrade
• perform routine maintenance work to ensure the functionality and longevity of the vehicle
• adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems including fuel system, brakes, steering and suspension, engine and drive train, emission control and exhaust, cooling and climate control, and electrical and electronic systems using hand tools and other specialized automotive repair equipment
• document all vehicle repair and maintenance performed, on the repair order
• road tests vehicles, as required

About you...

Ideal candidates will have a strong background and proven experience as a technician, including:

• 2 to 5 years proven experience as an Automotive Service Technician
• Post Secondary School diploma, or equivalent experience
• 310S Mechanic License in good standing
• ability to operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles
• Driver's License and clean Drivers Abstract
• ability to adapt to a changing environment and meet deadlines
