Wonder Auto & Tire Dartmouth, part of Shift Auto Group, is hiring an Automotive Technician. The role involves diagnostics, repairs, inspections, and maintenance to uphold safety and quality across vehicles.

Competenze

• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• MVI License (or eligibility to obtain) required.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• EV/PHEV training and Air Conditioning Handling Certification are assets.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team.

Mansioni

• Perform diagnostics, repairs, inspections, and maintenance to ensure vehicles are serviced safely and to high standards.
• Complete Provincial Motor Vehicle Inspections (MVI) and mechanical repairs.
• Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, electrical, HVAC, suspension, brake, driveline, and emissions systems.
• Perform routine maintenance including brakes, tires, alignments, and fluids.
• Maintain accurate repair documentation and communicate with Service Team.
• Collaborate with Service Advisors, Parts Advisors, and other Technicians.

What You'll Do

As a Licensed Automotive Technician , you'll perform diagnostics, repairs, inspections, and maintenance while ensuring every vehicle is serviced safely, accurately, and to the highest standards.

Responsibilities include:

Provincial Motor Vehicle Inspections (MVI)

Complete vehicle inspections, diagnostics, and mechanical repairs

Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, electrical, HVAC, suspension, brake, driveline, fuel, emissions, AWD, and 4WD systems

Perform routine maintenance including brakes, tires, alignments, and fluid services

Complete used vehicle inspections and mechanical reconditioning

Maintain accurate repair documentation and communicate effectively with the Service Team

Collaborate with Service Advisors, Parts Advisors, and fellow Technicians

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

What We're Looking For

Valid MVI License (or eligibility to obtain)

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills

Valid driver's license

Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to quality workmanship

Ability to work independently while contributing to a strong team environment

EV/PHEV training and Air Conditioning Handling Certification are considered assets.

We offer a competitive salary range of $30-$40 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
