Job summary

Asura Health Services is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse for South Valley Residence in Valleyview, Alberta. This permanent part-time role (0.4 FTE) offers an hourly rate of $38.50–$43.75.

Candidates must be able to commute or relocate to Valleyview and join a compassionate, resident-centered care team. You will provide nursing care, administer medications, monitor vital signs, document care plans, and collaborate with Health Care Aides to ensure safe, high-quality care while respecting

Qualifications

• LPN with CLHA registration in good standing.
• Current CPR/BCLS certification.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
• Commitment to person-centered care and compassionate service.
• Critical thinking and a positive, professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care in a home-like setting.
• Administer medications, complete treatments, monitor vital signs, and perform nursing interventions.
• Assess and respond to changes in residents' health and care needs.
• Collaborate with Health Care Aides and care team to ensure safe, high-quality care.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and other providers to support continuity of care.
• Provide guidance to Health Care Aides and contribute to a positive team environment.
• Maintain accurate documentation, care plans, and required records.
• Promote resident safety, dignity, choice and independence; maintain confidentiality.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and evidence-informed practices.
• Practice within the full scope of LPN duties per standards and policies.

What You'll Do

• Provide compassionate, resident-centred nursing care in a home-like setting.

• Provide guidance and support to Health Care Aides and contribute to a positive, respectful team environment.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, care plans, and other required clinical records.
• Promote resident safety, dignity, choice, and independence while maintaining confidentiality.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and support evidence-informed practices.
• Practice within the full scope of practice for Licensed Practical Nurses, in accordance with applicable professional standards, legislation, and organizational policies.

What You Bring

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - active registration with CLHA and in good standing.
• Current CPR/BCLS certification for healthcare providers.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
